Serving Our Community by Loving Our Neighbors

About The Pantry

Loving Our Neighbors

The Love Your Neighbor Personal Pantry is a Ministry offered by The Valley Church. It is designed to help families and individuals that need daily personal care items which cannot be purchased with State Assistance.

We provide these items and more, to families who have become homeless due to a fire, eviction or displaced domestic violence victims, along with senior citizens, trying to make due on limited income.

Our Purpose

  • To serve families and senior citizens on low income with items they can't purchase on their income.
  • To glorify God by loving our neighbor as he commanded us in Luke 10:27.
  • To supply needs, pray with people and build relationships.
  • To work together as a community by building relationships and sharing the love of Jesus.
  • To make a difference in the lives of individuals in our community.

The Best Part of this Ministry...

“The best part of this ministry is meeting the people in our community – building relationships, praying with them and sharing the love of Jesus with them.”

Patty A. The Valley Church

Updated Pantry Drive-Thru Dates

SUMMER DATES for 2025: The new drive-through dates are MONTHLY for this summer. The dates are: 5/7, 6/4, 7/9 and 8/6/25.

How The Pantry Operates

THIS IS A DRIVE-THRU ONLY

Volunteers will be in the parking lot to instruct you on what to do. There is no need to get out of your vehicle.

  1. This is a drive-through the first Wednesday of every other month (with the exception of summer dates being MONTHLY: 5/7, 6/4, 7/9 and 8/6/25) from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. We will have basic products already packed to put in your car. Both personal hygiene and cleaning supplies.
  2. Volunteers will be in the parking lot to instruct you on what to do. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. THIS IS A DRIVE-THROUGH ONLY.
  3. We have informed the TWP Police that this may require people to line up on Northbound Center Road. They are fine with it as long as we follow these guidelines:

  • If the parking lot is full, line up in the curbed northbound lane. DO NOT BLOCK STREETS or DRIVEWAYS. If you’re heading southbound to get to our facility, then you will need to pass the line-up, find a place to turn around safely then take the next spot in line.
  • DO NOT pass the cars to get into the parking lot or try to cut in line. Those actions will result in you being asked to leave.
  • Parking lot volunteers will be wearing orange vests and will be there to direct you once you enter the parking lot. Please be respectful and have patience as we expect a large number of people to be there. Again, stay in your car at all times.
  • When exiting the parking lot you will only be allowed to make a right hand turn onto Center, to avoid any issues. You should be able to take an alternate route to where you are going, once you leave.
  • We do require to see a picture ID and proof of State Assistance when you arrive. A volunteer will be checking those once you enter the parking lot and before you pick up your pantry items. Please have ID’s ready.

Our goal is and always has been to serve as many people in our community, as long as we have stock. There are many families and seniors in need and since we operate on donations, we may not always have everything you need. Please be respectful of that. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 1-989-213-3331 or send us an email.

In return, we promise to be responsible stewards of both your donation and your trust. Thank you!

The owner of this company, Sweet Choices Cake Decorating School & Supplies, has been a long-time supporter of the pantry by donating several supplies frequently. Thank you for your gifts and generosity.
