What We Believe

We believe the Bible, comprising the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the verbal (word-for-word), inspired (God Breathed), infallible Word of God without error in the original manuscripts. The teachings of the Bible are the foundation on which this church operates and governs its Christian doctrine. The scripture stands as our sole and final authority for faith beliefs, guiding our practice. The people of God are called to commit God’s word to memory, study it diligently, obey it faithfully, and teach it accurately. All of scripture serves as the testimony of Jesus Christ.

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, who are equal in power and glory. This triune God, a central tenet of Christian doctrine, has always existed, created all, upholds all, and governs all things. We affirm that this triune God is omniscient (knowing everything), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (with us at all times), unchanging, and sovereign over the universe. According to Bible teachings, He created the world and universe in six literal days, forming everything from nothing, and the universe proclaims His invisible attributes. God the Father We believe in God the Father, a boundless personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is mercifully involved in the lives of all mankind, hears prayers, and saves those who come to Him through faith in His son, Jesus Christ. This aligns with key faith beliefs. God-The Son, Jesus Christ We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, God's only begotten son. He is the living Word, existing with the Father before anything was created. He lived a sinless life and bore the penalty of our sins when He died on the cross as our substitute. Through His blood, we find forgiveness. Christ's death stands as the perfect, final, and eternal sacrifice, and our own efforts add nothing to it. His sacrifice is sufficient for the salvation of all but is effectively granted only to those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, beginning their journey with Him toward repentance. We believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead in the same glorified body, an event witnessed by hundreds over forty days. He now advocates for believers at the right hand of God the Father. As the author of life and head of the church, He will judge the living and the dead. He will one day return to take believers up in the Rapture, then later establish His Kingdom after the Tribulation. Ultimately, we believe every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. God-The Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is fully divine, fulfilling His role as the Spirit of Truth by testifying and pointing humanity to Jesus Christ. He exalts Christ and convicts mankind of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Empowering believers, He cultivates the character of Christ and comforts them while providing spiritual gifts for glorifying God and fulfilling His purpose. We uphold the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the practice of all Biblical gifts of the spirit, as part of our faith beliefs. The Holy Spirit seals believers until the final day of redemption, and His presence within ensures our salvation, empowering us in worship, service, and ministry. We believe, in accordance with Bible teachings, that Angels were created by God even before the universe came into existence. These spiritual beings are tasked with serving God to fulfill His will and purpose, aligning with core Christian doctrine. Angels are eternal, personal spirit-beings, and we believe there is a vast number of them—a number that remains unknown. Importantly, Angels are never to be worshiped; their sole purpose is to worship and serve God. We hold the faith belief that Angels are actively engaged in continuous spiritual warfare against Satan and his demons.

We believe that Satan is a real spiritual being created by God, as aligned with Bible teachings. In Christian doctrine, it is understood that unrighteousness (sin) was found in him when he attempted to exalt himself above God and, in his act of rebellion, persuaded some angels to follow him. Those who followed are now known as demons. The sole purpose of Satan and his demons is to interfere with and destroy the souls of mankind. Satan is referred to by many names: Accuser, adversary, angel of light, deceiver, devil, evil one, enemy, father of lies, murderer, ruler of darkness, and ruler of this world. Although Satan is powerful, he must and does ultimately submit to God. According to our faith beliefs, Satan and his demons will be judged at the end of this age and cast into the lake of fire.

We believe that man is made in the image of God, which is a fundamental aspect of Bible teachings. Man was God's crowning work on the sixth day, tasked with stewarding and managing God’s creation for His glory. Following God's creation of man (Adam), He formed the first woman (Eve) from a rib taken from Adam's side. At the beginning of creation, man was innocent of sin, and mankind was given the freedom of choice by God. We affirm that God ordained and established marriage between a biological male and a biological female, reflecting Christian doctrine. This sacred union serves as a picture of the relationship that Christ Jesus (the bridegroom) has with His church (the bride). We believe that marriage is a holy institution intended to glorify God. Although God created mankind to fellowship with Him forever, mankind sinned and fell under judgment as a consequence of disobedience to God's Word. Mankind's initial innocence was lost due to this disobedience, leading to the knowledge of evil. This fall justly placed mankind under God's righteous judgment. As a result of this fall, mankind was born with a sin nature, and Adam's guilt was imputed to all humanity. In His great love for His creation, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for mankind's sin with His own blood on the cross. To escape God's judgment and receive the gift of salvation, we believe that mankind must come to faith in the payment (the finished works) made by Christ Jesus and repent, aligning with core faith beliefs.

We believe that sin, as outlined in Bible teachings, is an action, feeling, or thought that contradicts God’s Holy Law, standards, or commands. According to Christian doctrine, all of mankind has fallen short of God’s holy standard of perfection, both by nature and choice. The consequence of any sin places humanity under condemnation before God. Sin has led to mankind becoming spiritually dead in our trespasses, rendering us deserving of both physical and spiritual death. Born in Adam's sin, humanity is left hopeless, sinful, and unable to earn God’s forgiveness on our own. We believe that sin has created an urgent need for God’s Grace, for without it, as our faith beliefs emphasize, mankind would be unredeemable.

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as taught in various Bible teachings. This essential Christian doctrine explains that salvation for mankind was planned and executed by the Father, provided through the Son, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is granted only to those who confess, repent, and place their entire faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We recognize Jesus as mankind's only hope. The gospel represents God’s glorious redemption plan through the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who came to earth in the flesh and lived the perfect, sinless life that we are unable to live. Jesus died on the cross as man's representative, taking our place for the sins we have committed and continue to commit. He was buried and rose victoriously from the grave on the third day, as he was not guilty of sin's penalty. All who put their faith in Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior, will be forgiven of their sins and justified by Christ's righteous testimony alone. 

We believe those who come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are integrated into the body of Christ and his church. As part of their salvation, all who have been saved are sealed by the Holy Spirit and are continually being sanctified, reflecting our faith beliefs. We believe those who are saved and sealed are kept secure by God’s power and are eternally secure in Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is impossible for the saved to lose their salvation. We believe those who are in Christ have a responsibility to boldly proclaim the Gospel message far and wide.

We believe the church is the spiritual body of Christ, with Him as the head. The church of Jesus Christ is called to glorify God and, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, unite faithful believers. We hold to the Christian doctrine that all members of the church have been empowered by the Holy Spirit with unique gifts and talents that enable them to be the salt and light necessary to combat the rising darkness in our communities, nation, and world. Our faith beliefs affirm that scripture commands believers to gather physically to devote themselves to worship, prayer, and the teaching of the Bible teachings. The church must not forsake assembling together. Christ Jesus appoints elders and shepherds to lead, protect, teach, and serve believers in Him. Furthermore, we believe that Jesus Christ instituted baptism and communion, which are commanded to be observed by believers within the church. The church of Jesus Christ is also called to love one another and to go forth into the world as witnesses, making disciples as instructed in the Christian doctrine.

We hold to the Bible teachings that emphasize the pre-tribulation rapture of the church of Jesus Christ. According to Christian doctrine, all who are sealed by the Holy Spirit will be called to meet the Lord in the air and will be taken out of this world before the tribulation and the wrath of God descends upon the earth. In this pivotal moment, Jesus will appear in the clouds to call both those who have fallen asleep and those who are still living to join him for eternity, affirming our faith beliefs in the promises of Scripture.

We believe that the tribulation, as outlined in biblical teachings, represents a seven-year period following the Rapture of the church. This time offers the world one final opportunity for eternal life through repentance and a complete commitment to Jesus Christ, all while judgments are unleashed upon an unbelieving, God-rejecting world. According to Christian doctrine, this seven-year period will begin when the antichrist confirms a peace treaty with the Jewish people. The tribulation will serve as the last days before the final white throne judgment for all of mankind, grounding our faith beliefs in scripture as seen in Daniel 9:27, Daniel 12:1, Jeremiah 30:7, Matthew 24:15-36, 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12, and Revelation 20:11-15, 6-18.

We believe that life begins at conception and that human life is a gift from God, as emphasized in Bible teachings. Mankind is created in God's own image, reflecting the importance of every individual life. All life is precious, and abortion contradicts the Christian doctrine of God’s design for humanity. Our faith beliefs teach that abortion is morally unacceptable for purposes such as birth control, population control, or the elimination of those who are physically or mentally handicapped.

We believe that the nation of Israel and the Jewish people are God's chosen treasures, as emphasized in key Bible teachings. All prophetic scripture is viewed through the lens of the nation of Israel, which plays a central role in God’s plan according to Christian doctrine. God is currently and will in future events fulfill all prophetic prophecies made to Israel. The church of Jesus Christ is called to support Israel and stand firm against Antisemitism as these prophetic events unfold. We also believe that the church should remain in continued prayer for the nation and people of Israel, that they might come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, in alignment with our faith beliefs.
