WE EXIST TO BRING GLORY TO GOD
God, our Heavenly Father, wants to hear from you and talk to you. When you pray, you can quietly listen to God speaking to you through the Holy Spirit.
We want to pray for you. We have a team of prayer warriors that are dedicated to pray and stand with you in prayer.
Take a moment now to send us your prayer request.
How do you define prayer? Simply put it is a conversation with God, i.e. talking and listening to God.
To Whom do we pray? We pray to God, our Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ our Savior.
How do we listen to God? Through the Holy Spirit.
What is the importance of listening to God? Proverbs 19:27 states: If you cease to hear instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge. (BSB)
Is there a special place to pray? A quiet place without distractions. Matthew 6:6 says: But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (BSB)
When should we pray? 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 says: Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (BSB)
Why is saying thank you to God in our prayers so important?
Why do we end our prayers with Amen? The traditional definition is: So be it, truth, I believe it. In 2 Corinthians 1:20 it says: For all the promises of God are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God. (BSB)
Why is Jesus called the Bread of Life? Just as we eat bread for our physical bodies, we need "bread" for our spirit. John 6:35 says: Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst." (BSB)
